The Jurisdiction Register
Standing Position
Because sweepstakes casinos operate as free-entry promotions, they remain lawful in the large majority of US jurisdictions. Four states have closed their doors, and this register records each closure with its background.
Excluded Jurisdictions
| Jurisdiction | Position | Record |
|---|---|---|
| Washington | Excluded | Long-standing prohibition, in force for years without revision |
| Nevada | Excluded | Historic exclusion, operators decline NV registrations |
| Idaho | Excluded | Blocked for years under state gaming policy |
| California | Excluded | Prohibited under AB 831, effective January 2026 |
All Other Jurisdictions
Players outside the four excluded states are generally eligible, with two documented caveats. Operators maintain their own eligible-states pages and occasionally exclude additional territories at their discretion, that page always controls. And legislative positions move: California’s reversal happened within a single session, so this register, verified July 2026, is a record of the present, not a promise about the future.
Registry Guidance
Confirm your state against the operator’s published list before registering, and treat nothing on this site as legal advice. Where genuine doubt exists, abstain until it is resolved.
